Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is one of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures, where the volume and shape of the breasts are enhanced by the insertion of implants. The most widely used prosthetic implants in our practice are made from textured silicone and ‘the auxiliary technique’ is the most popular approach, since the mammary gland is not affected and no scars are visible after surgery. The technique performed by Dr Benito has been recently awarded by the Spanish Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (McGhan Award to the Best Paper in Cosmetic Breast Surgery 2003)

Eyelids

The objective of this operation is to eliminate the tired look of the eye area. Depending on the degree of deformity, the surgical procedure eliminates the excess of skin tissue and/or the excess of fat cells in the eye area. Incisions for lower eyelid are usually inside the eyelid and are not visible.

Periorbital Rejuvenation

The periorbital area is one of the workhorses in modern aesthetic surgery. The first signs of ageing frequently appear around the eyes:

Eyelids: Blepharoplasty is a cosmetic operation designed to improve the appearance of the eye area eliminating puffy eyelids and excess fat.

Eyebrows: An Endoscopy is the leading procedure for lifting the eyebrows, leaving the small scars visible only within the hairline.

Cheeks: The soft tissue of the cheek atrophies and becomes sunken through the ageing process. Lifting this area through hidden incisions in the hairline and mouth greatly improves the cheek definition giving a distinctly rejuvenated appearance. Lipofilling provides an alternative technique to enhance the cheek area.

Body Contouring

Customarily men seek aesthetic enhancements in the following areas; chest (liposuction, pectoral implants), abdomen (waist, etching) and buttocks (augmentation).

Ginecomasty

In adolescence it is normal to have a slight growth of the breast gland. Where this does not naturally disappear a surgical procedure may be necessary to remove the excess of gland and/or fat.

Forehead Rejuvenation

The aim of this procedure is to improve the position of the eyebrows, lifting them, whilst removing wrinkles and furrows caused by repeated muscular activity. Most patients benefit from the use of endoscopy, which achieves these improvements through small incisions within the hairline, to minimise visible scarring.

Facelift

Ageing affects the face through sagging and atrophy of the skin tissues. Modern rejuvenation of the face offers not only a tightening, but repositioning and lifting effect. The aim of surgery is to lift the skin tissues and further enhance the repositioning by adding volume to key areas through fat injections.

Lipectomies

In some cases liposuction is not appropriate cosmetic procedure, mainly due to an excessive flaccidity of the skin tissue. In these cases lipectomies are required, removing both the excess of skin and fat. These procedures are undertaken for the abdomen (abdominoplasty), inner thigh, inner aspect of the arms and to lift the buttocks.

Liposuction

Liposuction removes an excess of fat in determined body areas. Modern liposculpture enhances the body contour by removing fat from undesirable areas and inserting fat cells into other areas to create an improved aesthetic effect. Special devices such as ultrasound equipment and high vibration cannulae are additionally used to remove an increased volume of excess fat.

Breasts Lift

After pregnancy and breast feeding, the breast gland may atrophy and slip on the muscle. Several techniques can be performed depending on how much skin has to be removed, how much the gland has to be lifted and if more volume is required to achieve an improved aesthetic appearance.

Tuberous Breasts

This deformity is due to an underdevelopment of the mammary gland, in such way that nipple is enlarged; gland errantes within the areola and the breast base is constricted. Surgical treatment aims to correct all three deformities, by reducing the nipple diameter, reshaping the gland and giving volume to the breast via silicone implants.

Chin

The chin area can be improved by enhancement or reduction. The most common surgical procedure is augmentation through the insertion of an implant. Where required, the jaw bone is cut and advanced to achieve a further projected prominence. Mentoplasty is very often associated with rhinoplasty (profile surgery).

Ears

Bat ears can be surgically corrected by reshaping the cartilage and maintaining the shape with non-resorbable stitches. The incision remains hidden behind the ear.

Calves

The calf area can be enhanced by inserting silicone implants on the gastrocnemius muscle. The incision occurs in the posterior fold of the knee to minimise visibility.

Breast Reduction

Modern surgical breast reduction techniques involve vertical scar techniques, aiming to avoid the inverted T scar. In selected cases, Liposuction may occasionally be indicated.

Rhinoplasty

The aim of a cosmetic nose procedure is to achieve an aesthetic, proportionate nose without jeopardizing the respiratory function. By nature, the surgical technique has to be highly individualised to meet the patient´s expectations and requirements.
